Video
Today let’s talk about videos. We don’t talk about it very often but they can be just as effective to your brand promotion. There are a couple of different kinds of videos you can make. Today we will go over just a few. According to research, videos are twice as likely to create memorable content. At the end of the video make sure to add a “call to action”. Let them know that if they like what they see, then they can find similar content on your website, blog, or other social media platforms.
1. Behind The Scenes. A great way to build loyal followers is through “behind the scenes” video. These videos allow viewers to feel as if they are a part of your journey. Not only that, but it is a great way to allow them to see you in a more candid way, helping your personality to really come across.
2. How-To Videos. Depending on your business, educational how-to videos are a fun way to engage your followers. How-To videos tend to encourage conversation within your customers. These tutorial videos need to conservative length. Keep the just long enough to go through all the necessary steps, but short enough to maintain interest. Research shows that you have a total of 7-10 seconds to grab someone’s attention, which means that you have to make the first part of your video the most interesting.
3. Informative Videos. Simplify the theory’s you work on, that are of the most interest to your followers. A simple way to do this, is to take your blog posts, find the top points, and make it fun!
4. User Generated Videos. Let you viewers join in! Have them test out your product, and create some videos themselves! A great way to do this is through a contest. This really allows your audience to engage with you and each other.
As videos go up, hopefully viewers will begin to comment on them. Stay active! Respond to the comments. Not dry comments, but engaging comments to continue the ongoing conversation. Don’t feel like you need to run the discussion, but help keep it alive. As a part of these discussions, ask the audience what future videos they’d like to see. What parts of your business are they most interested in.
Get out there, come up with some video ideas, and go for it!
